 Meteora is one of the most iconic and impressive natural wonders of Greece, known for its imposing rocks that rise dramatically above the plains of Thessaly. The rocks of Meteora are home to a series of ancient monasteries perched on their peaks, which were founded by monks seeking solitude and spiritual exploration. The landscape of Meteora offers stunning views and a unique coexistence of natural and cultural heritage, making it the ideal destination for nature and history lovers.

DAY 1: SATURDAY – VIA FERRATA TO AGIA
  •  Morning :  Arrival in Kalambaka, where you will check into your guesthouse. Kalambaka is a picturesque town located at the base of the Meteora rocks and is the perfect base for exploring the area.
  • Noon :  Enjoy a light lunch in the city before departing for your afternoon adventure.
  • Afternoon :  Explore the Via Ferrata route at Agia, one of the most impressive rocks of Meteora. The Via Ferrata, or “railway”, is a protected climbing route that allows you to climb steep slopes with the help of fixed cables and ladders. The Via Ferrata at Agia offers an exciting climbing experience with stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
  • Evening :  Return to Kalambaka for a traditional dinner at a local restaurant and relaxation at the guesthouse.
  DAY 2: Sunday – circular hike around Meteora
  • Morning : After breakfast at the guesthouse, we depart for a circular hike around Meteora. The hike will take you on picturesque paths that cross the imposing rocks and pass by three of the famous monasteries of Meteora.
  • Noon : Stop at one of the monasteries for a brief visit and enjoyment of a picnic with panoramic views of the imposing rocks and surrounding plains.
  • Afternoon : Continue your hike, enjoying the stunning views and unique architecture of the monasteries. The circular route offers a variety of perspectives of the rocks and a deeper appreciation of the natural beauty and historical significance of the area.
  • Evening : Return to Kalambaka, where you can enjoy a last meal and reminisce about your adventures before departing.
